““Art” is the communication of our imagination. “Art” is also the wisdom for people to understand each other. As human being, we laugh when we are happy and cry when we are sad. But as human being, we have our own way of thinking and we have our own opinions. Please submit an artwork that expresses your impression and experience of “Japan” in our multi-cultural city, New York.”
We are also pleased to announce that the Winner and Honorable mention winners will receive Digital Cameras from Nikon Americas Inc as their prize!

Japan Day 2012 gave us an opportunity to have the “Japan Day Art Contest,” which for
the first time allowed the public to submit artwork for our official posters, flyers and programs. The Contest was such a success, resulting in so many splendid entries, and yielding such a wonderful, winning illustration, that we intend to make the Contest a regular annual event for years to come.
We are accepting submissions that incorporate the three themes of “ New York,” “Japan,” and “Central Park”. The chosen artwork will become the official image of Japan Day @ Central Park 2013, and will be used for the Official Poster, Program, Flyer and T-shirts.
