This calligraphy workshop provides an opportunity to write their names or favorite words on a piece of paper by Japanese black ink, “Bokujyu”.

Challenge yourself to catch a “yo-yo” balloon from a small pool before your paper hook breaks! Children experiencing this typical summer festival activity can take home a colorful water balloon on a rubber string as their prize.

BULLET TRAIN RIDE

You can try on a Japanese railroad's uniform and experience the thrill of being in the driver's seat of a bullet train simulator. Feel the sensation of the high speed travel as the scenery of Japan whizzes past on a monitor in front of you.

SUPER CONDUCTING MAGLEV

Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central)   

Visitors will see new video footage and a model of the latest Rolling Stock “Series L0 (L zero)” Super Conducting Maglev train. In collaboration with TOMY Company, Ltd., there will also be a display and demonstration of "PLARAIL" toy, the number 1 Japanese toy train brand, as well as the "Linear-liner" toy that actually levitates over the rail.

 Seal Robot, PARO, is a neurological therapeutic medical device approved by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration). PARO can improve depression, anxiety, pain, loneliness, and sleep. In the case of elderly with dementia, PARO can reduce wandering and aggression. By those effects, PARO can reduce usage of psychotropic medications that have problems of side effects. PARO can be used for cancer patients and for children with developmental problems such as autism.

Pepper is a humanoid companion created by SoftBank Robotics to communicate with humans through his voice, touch, and the expression of emotions. As a fully interactive social robot, Pepper will be showing off some of his interactive, engaging abilities and dances at the SoftBank Telecom America booth.
