This calligraphy workshop provides an opportunity to write their names or favorite words on a piece of paper by Japanese black ink, “Bokujyu”.

JAPAN'S RAILROAD STAMP RALLY

Japan Railways Group

“Stamp Rally (Scavenger Hunt)” is a popular activity in Japan, in which you go around places to collect a series of stamps. For our Railroad Stamp Rally, you must visit different tent locations and answer various questions related to the railroads and stations of Japan. Those who complete the activity can try on a Japanese stationmaster's uniform and take a photograph, as well as participate in a lottery to win a special prize. Join us to learn and experience Japanese Railways!

SUPER CONDUCTING MAGLEV

New video footage and a model of the latest Rolling Stock “Series L0 (L zero)” are used to introduce you to the Super Conducting Maglev train. You can also play “Fukubiki,” a Japanese traditional lottery, for a chance to win rare and unique prizes such as a die-cast Shinkansen train model and L0 paper craft model.

For participants across all ages and ethnicities, our experienced teachers show you how to craft from beginner to intermediate levels of origami models.  There is also a section where you can fold and donate origami models.

Challenge yourself to catch a “yo-yo” balloon from a small pool before your paper hook breaks! Children experiencing this typical summer festival activity can take home a colorful water balloon on a rubber string as their prize.
